How to Set New Year’s Travel Resolutions

This is the year you’re going to travel more, pack better and arrange for your airport transport earlier than six hours before your flight. Right?

It’s not uncommon for travel to top people’s lists of New Year’s resolutions. It’s easy to make a huge list, get overwhelmed, and then promptly put it aside only to remember two weeks before the end of the year that your only travel included obligatory holidays with the family and maybe a last minute weekend to Great Wolf Lodge because it’s easy (and fun!).

Here are a few tips on how create a successful travel bucket list:

  • Be Realistic: Of course you want to visit every ballpark in the United States, but maybe pick a particular geographic region to begin with. A road trip down the West Coast can take you to several.
  • Pick vacation dates at the beginning of the year: If you set aside firm dates for travel, you are less likely to back out because of the busyness of life.
  • Research: Do the countries you want to visit require Visas? How safe are the areas you’re interested in traveling to? Is language barrier a concern? Take an evening to research your desired location to figure out if it’s really the best fit for you.
  • Logistics: Are you great at planning travel or could you use a little help? A concierge team (like us!) can fill in where you may need a bit of assistance.

So wherever you are in the process of planning your next adventure, let us help you solidify the plans so those dreams become a reality with Simplified Travel.
