A new school year means a fresh start and new beginnings. Blank planners just ready to be filled. New shoes to get started off on the right foot. And a renewed excitement of all the things to come. PLAN
Planning ahead is the key to not feeling overwhelmed. Whether that’s making a school supply list, meal prepping or just setting a reoccurring alarm on your phone for when the kids need to be picked up – it all helps. We’ll even help you plan or shop!
DON’T OVERSCHEDULE
It’s easy to get excited about all of the extra-curricular activities out there. But we advise narrowing it down to one or two. You don’t want you or your child to feel overwhelmed by having to accomplish it all.
GET A HAIRCUT
Seriously. We mean it. There’s nothing worse for a new year than starting off not feeling like you look your best.
SCHEDULE PLAYDATES
Are there friends your child hasn’t seen all summer because of busy schedules? Get your children reacquainted so they feel like they have a friendly face to say hi to in the new school year.
BE FORGIVING
You’re going to forget something. We are all human and it happens. Whether it’s loading money onto your child’s lunch card or forgetting to send in a permission slip, we all mess up sometimes. Just take a deep breath, smile and remind yourself that you’ve got this.
